Prior to becoming a Home Inspector, I have spent 35 years in the construction industry, most of that time in residential construction. My hands- on experience runs the gamut from site location and layout, to mill work and cabinetry. Including most everything in between. As the owner of a contracting company, I have had to continually assess work performed by myself and those who've worked for me, insuring a high level of quality while always meeting or exceeding residential building codes. I have had actual experience in all manner of homes dating back to 1910. Over the years, I remain educated as to the ever changing materials and methods used in the construction of homes. Having practical experience with differing building techniques, allows me to better recognize items in homes which may not meet today's standards but, were acceptable at the time of construction. My goal has always been to surpass the client's expectations.
